Finding a bandmate is kind of like finding a mate mate. It’s a commitment to someone (multiple people) for as long as it lasts. You’ll have to feel a (musical) spark, share a vision, compromise often, and ideally, fall in (friend) love with each other. I never truly felt all of these things until four years ago, when Max, Jack, Rah, and I formed the indie-rock four-piece Blanket Approval.

We have three lead singers and keep our sound cohesive with complimentary voices, funky riffs, dreamy synths, and layers of harmonies. Think Earth, Wind & Fire meets Portugal. The Man and MGMT.
40+ shows, 13 singles, and 30,000 followers later, we’re working on our debut album, “Heartbreak City.”
In 2025, we worked with Twenty One Pilots on the track “Robot Voices,” which is on TØP’s latest album “Breach.”
The song was inspired by a Blanket Approval single that was released in 2023 — “My Soft Spots, My Robots.”
